BMC X Laboral Kutxa-Fundación Euskadi
BMC is incredibly excited and proud to announce their overdue arrival to the women’s pro peloton, and their partnership with Laboral Kutxa-Fundación Euskadi.
The Fundación Euskadi has reached an agreement with BMC on behalf of its women’s professional team, Laboral Kutxa-Fundación Euskadi. BMC will serve as the official technical partner.
It’s easy to talk about a desire to support the women’s peloton, but that’s not where BMC stopped, not happy to just support with framesets, they’ve stepped in with the full performance product package, cementing their confidence in their framesets, cockpits and most interestingly their wheelsets.
The Partnership
Other than the fact that BMC felt that it was missing a string to their bow without a women’s pro team, the partnership with Laboral Kutxa-Fundación Euskadi also provides a strong opportunity to strengthen BMC’s relevancy among younger audiences and female cyclists, supporting the brand’s ambition to engage a broader and more diverse cycling community. More people interested and on bikes is good thing for everyone!
Added to this, the partnership with Laboral Kutxa-Fundación Euskadi provides incredibly strong visibility in their home country of Spain, but also combines with the growing interest in South American markets while also having two South American riders.
David Heine, BMC Head of Marketing:
'This partnership represents an exciting new chapter for BMC. As one of the brands that supported women's cycling early on, we are proud to return to the highest level of the sport with Laboral Kutxa-Fundación Euskadi. Women's racing is thrilling, inspiring, dynamic, and growing rapidly worldwide. We look forward to supporting the team with our performance-driven bikes and proudly cheering for the riders throughout the season.'
The Race Program
Thanks to the team’s already impressive ranking, Laboral Kutxa-Fundación Euskadi will have a mightily engaging race calendar, with participation in the biggest races on the international calendar secured, ensuring consistent visibility on cycling’s largest stages. The team’s racing calendar guarantees BMC’s presence at the most prestigious events in women’s cycling, including all three Grand Tours and major one-day Classics, with many more to be added.
Iñaki Isasi, President of the Fundación Euskadi:
'We are excited with this partnership with BMC. Their technical standards and culture of performance correspond to the ambitions of Laboral Kutxa-Fundación Euskadi. This support allows us to approach the season with confidence and continue to grow our women's team at the highest level.'
